Devil's Claw  , also known as Hookweed, is a perennial, hemicryptophyte from the Pedaliaceae family, found mainly on the outskirts of the Kalahari Desert in Namibia.

The plants produce creeping shoots (up to 1.5 m), red-violet flowers, and the fruits, when ripe, become woody and sprout long, branched arms resembling hooks. This is where the name of the plant comes from (harpagos (Greek) – hook).

The raw material for obtaining FlexiGO™ extract is the tuberous adventitious roots of Harpagopytum procumbens DC and H. zeyheri Decne.

Devil's claw root has traditionally been used as a natural remedy for maintaining joint health. The active substances contained in Devil's claw root are iridoids – glycosidic and ester compounds. Ingredients:  Harpagophytum spp. FlexiGo™ extract standardized to 2.7% harpagosides, bulking agent: acacia fiber, capsule shell: binding agent - hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.

Recommended daily dose required to obtain the product's beneficial effects:  1 capsule daily with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Do not use if you have gastric or duodenal ulcers or gallstones. This product should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended.
