Apple stem cell extract

"Uttwiler Spätlauber" is an old, now very rare, Swiss apple variety. It was known for its exceptional shelf life, but over time, its bitter flavor led to its being replaced by sweet dessert apples. Because the apple could be stored for long periods without shrinking or losing its flavor, it must have had special ingredients and particularly long-lived stem cells. These longevity factors intrigued the scientists at Mibelle AG Biochemistry.

With the development of the innovative PhytoCellTec™ technology, it has become possible to obtain these valuable plant extracts on a large scale. The active ingredient is obtained from only about 2-3 "Uttwiler Spätlauber" apples, while all subsequent production is based on the previously obtained raw material. This technology produces sufficiently large quantities of high-quality active ingredients from a very small amount of plant material, without exploiting or endangering rare plants.

In laboratory conditions, young, viable epidermal stem cells can form a complete, multilayered epidermis. Over time, they lose these properties – the cells no longer multiply, and accordingly, the epidermis does not form. Older stem cells become exhausted and reach the end of their life cycle. However, if we add Malus Domestica stem cell extract to the epidermal stem cells, even "old" cells can still generate a complete epidermis. Under the influence of the extract, the epidermal stem cells retain their vitality longer and are able to form new tissue and regenerate the skin.
